Lisa Mann

Winery Owner

As a wine enthusiast for many years, Lisa made the leap in 2003 to purchase what is now Fortezza Winery. In 2006, she planted Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Primitivo, and Viognier varieties of wine grapes.

The elegant, Tuscan style tasting room was built in 2007. Lisa took classes at UC Davis to learn the basics of vineyard management and wine making. It is a dream come true for her to see her vision come to life.  Lisa has a new partner, Dennis Spear, who has been working with Lisa since 2007.  Dennis brings his farming knowledge, he also attended classes at UC Davis and his hard work to make Fortezza's grounds and vineyards look beautiful.  Together they have a winning combination of growing superior wine grapes and making excellent wines.  They welcome you to visit Fortezza and talk with them personally about their adventure in the wine industry.
